Alec gives back:
Most of the pants that Alec creates end up being gifts to friends and acquaintances. He loves creating a one-of-a-kind pair of pajamas to compliment individual interests.
Who is Alec?
Alec Weishaar is a young adult, diagnosed with Autism, who lives with his parents in Phillipsburg, KS. Alec made his first pair of Fancy Pants as a sewing project in his 8th grade FCS class. In the intervening years, he and his sewing partner mama completed upwards of 880 pairs of custom Fancy Pants. A handful of those commissioned, Alec mostly chose to gift his pants to friends, relatives, coaches, etc...
Alec’s parents’ hope and prayer remains that he live a full and active life as independently as possible. He plans to move into a studio apartment adjoining the family home, drive himself from place to place around their rural Kansas town in his golf cart, and continue sewing pajama pants for a long time to come.
